"AI, authors and the SEEDS of creativity"

The symbiosis of human creativity and artificial intelligence in the literary world.

This podcast explores the ways artificial intelligence and human creativity intersect. In "AI, Authors, and the SEEDS of Creativity," we examine how technology is transforming the process of imagining, writing, and sharing stories. We’ll discuss the challenges and opportunities that arise when people and machines collaborate. Whether you’re a writer, a tech enthusiast, or simply curious about how creativity is evolving, this podcast offers insights to inspire and expand your understanding of the future of storytelling.

When ChatGPT first emerged, bringing artificial intelligence into the creative process, I began thinking about how writing and authorship might change. I wrote a piece to explore these shifts, trying to understand what it means to be a writer in this new context.

One of my starting points was Umberto Eco’s idea of the "Model Reader," the ideal audience an author imagines while crafting a story. But what happens when that reader are now many real readers who, with AI, can modify a text to fit their own preferences? A novel could transform into a fairy tale one day, a thriller the next, adjusting to the audience’s tastes and moods. In this scenario, what becomes of the author’s intent? What remains uniquely theirs?

In the piece, I introduced the concept of "SEEDS," the unchangeable core of authorship. These SEEDS are the unique elements—vision, message, personal interpretation—that artificial intelligence cannot replicate. Even in a future where AI rewrites and reinterprets, the SEEDS stand as the human foundation of the work.

Thinking about these ideas again, I wanted to share them in a new way. I decided to create a podcast—a chance to open a discussion about the future of storytelling and what it means to write in this evolving world. Here it is.
